I create paintings and drawings that celebrate the tradition of figurative art. My work shows a fluency in drawing, anatomy, and complex, expressive poses. I like to interpret portraiture in a contemporary way by placing subjects in a mix of natural and imagined spaces. From the high-energy adventures of children at play, to the quiet endurance of living with chronic pain, my goal is to capture a full spectrum of the human experience.
